Extending Tourist Visa in Cartagena, Colombia

Love Colombia? Would like to stay in the country for a bit longer? When you first enter the country, they usually give you a tourist visa for 90 days (stamp). You are able to extend that up to 180 days per calendar year. This is how you do it Cartagena:

Go to the migration office in Pie de la Popa neighbourhood (next to Getsemani and Manga). The address is Carrera 20 B No. 29-18.
You need to bring:
  1. Passport
  2. Copy of your passport
  3. Copy of the entrance stamp to Colombia
  4. Copy of your flight or bus away from Colombia
  5. One photo for the visa
  6. Pay 76500 pesos either by credit card or go to Banco Occidental which is located behind the Olimpica supermarket 2 blocks from the migration office.
You can make the copies almost everywhere in the centre and there are many places to take the photos too (one in Centro Uno for sure). The copies are like 200 pesos per paper and ten photos cost 6000 pesos.

So I am happy to inform that my visa got extended until April 24 :)
